Last night when it got dark just proved to me that this was going to be my new edc light, you just cant beat the variable brightness and the output that this little light has. I also put an order in from shiningbeam for the AA tube and tailcap so this way i can choose which batt config i want. The half OP and Sm reflector does a nice job at smoothing out the cree rings as well and it makes a nice small thrower.

Just got in the single AA tube and tailcap and the form factor is a WOW, easier to hold in the hand since i tend to hold my lights as if i was holding a cigar. Gotta love conversion lights. I have a duraloop in there now, might put in a lithium later on tonight before i go to work.

D10 came in today.....nice light indeed.

* Unique electronic-controlled extremely reliable switch design.
* Unique Infinitely Variable Digitally-controlled Brightness System.
(100 levels of output!)
* Piston Drive (PD) design makes the light more compact than lights with
traditional clicky switches.
* Switch reliability is greatly increased over traditional switches.
* Electronically controlled switching - no spark generated from the piston
contact since the microprocessor switches on the light AFTER the piston
makes contact. This eliminates the risk of explosion in a flammable
environment!
* Electric current passes through the piston on the INSIDE of the light.
No current is passed through the outside shell, which is hard-coat anodized.
* When the light is off, the microprocessor draws very, very little power -
between 0.1-0.4ma (0.2ma typical). For example, one 2000mah cell would
last about 416 days!
* Instant access minimum & maximum brightness - very simple user interface.
* Extremely compact size and lightweight suitable for Every Day Carry (EDC).
* As with all NiteCore products, they use tough, imported 7075
military-grade aluminum!
* Mil-Spec Type III Hard Anodized finish - no bare aluminum exposed, making
it more durable.
* Aggressive knurling over most of the surface - maximizes grip.
* Resistant to impact from dropping in accordance with US MIL-STD-810F.
* Waterproof to IPX-8 standard.
* Broad-voltage fully regulated circuit, compatible with standard primary
batteries as well as protected li-ion cells
* Uses a highly efficient Cree XR-E Q5 WC LED lamp.
* 130 lumens at maximum output.
* Extended runtime on low (3-5 lumens)
* Metal reflector with optical grade coating.
* Impact-resistant optical lens with Dual-Coating (tm) technique.
(AR coating on inside, Diamond coating on the outside)
* Tactical lanyards braided with military-grade 550 parachute-cord.
* Able to tail-stand to act as a candle.

good lookin lights man. That is quite a collection.

What would you recommend for this thing? I want to put a light on the left hand side.

Since this pic was taken i have added a red dot scope to the top, and a laser on the rail on the right side, w switch attached to the pull down grip, and a Navy style flsh suppressor. I used to have a SOCOM noise suppressor/silencer that looked flat out bad ass but I traded it for a Glock G26 full auto.

I think it would be bad ass with a flashlight. I dont take it out in the dark much. Kinda defeats the purpose of moving silently through the dark. But, once you have that target lined up in front of you and you blast em with the beam, they dont no nothing but pain. It's the other guys that spot your light from a mile away that take you out. lol

Maybe just for looks.

Nice i got to handle one of those when i was in Saudi Arabia........Nice and light.

First i would look at what led emitter is going to be used, what lumen rating is preferred, and would you like a pressure switch. The link is just an example since it uses and old lux type emitter.

This is another great light......you would blind them before they would even know what was coming.

Just got my charging station set up for my flashlights......the tinfoil is used under the chargers in case of venting of the cells and so the heat doesnt burn up my dresser, I would love to come to a home.

This is one of my most versatile lights that i have.........too bad there not as popular as some of the others.

i had no idea you were a fl junkie! i'd be right there with ya if my budget allowed it!

that Nitecore D10 looks like the perfect edc. the stainless one is sexy!

i've only got a couple that are decent at best. *pics aren't mine

-ultrafire c3 p4 xr-e with extension review pic (the tube is too small for most rechargeables)

-lowes task force 3w review pic (great light for $25!)

- rock 6v headlamp discussion ($6 on sale at target)

i've always admired pro tactical torches but was reluctant to spend a few hundred bucks on one. it seems like i've had to rework (re-solder, file, grind, etc) every cheap chinese torch i've owned, but at least i can afford to own a few decent lights now. i bought my ultrafires for cycling mostly, but i loved it so much i carried it till it crapped out! everyone should own that taskforce 3w! its a self defense weapon with a fresh set of batts!
