Holas! New to the Micro World...

Hello fellow SoCal folks. I am back into the hobby after about a year "vacation" from the RC world.

I had a micro sitting around collecting dust and was just used to chase the dog around the kitchen.

I've never "raced" a micro before, but with some --motivation-- from a fellow hobbyist, I have been slowly getting up to speed on the micro craze.

I should hit up SoCAL on Nov 1st if all goes as planned. Might race.. might not... depending how fast I can fix things up inbetween work and school and life..

I also will get back into Offroad and Touring Sedan @ Socal again. So if you see me, hit me up! (Can't miss me.. im the one who always looks lost).

Thanks!!

<<insert blatant sale here>>
MX3 for sale in the classifieds... as well as a 3ps Transmitter.

RCMits, Welcome back. Please do come out and race on the first. If nothing else, bring your car as is and all the Micro crowd will get you rolling. Blind can hook you up with everything you need trackside! We offer a Super Stock class that allows you to run a near box stock Micro. Rules are strict and designed to keep racing at reasonable speed and cost for the new racer, or the racer who just wants to relax and enjoy. You could be competitive in Super Stock class with only a 300 sized motor and plate (under $20 for the combo) and some HPI 4716 (soft) rear tires. (about $7-9, depending on where you get'um.) The stock battery holder with a set of "Target bought" AA sized rechargables is good enough for batteries as a start. As you move along we can help you into more and faster hop-ups and get you into the Open/Mod class...fast and fun!!! I see those other toys in the background, so I think you'd hardly fall into the "new racer" category!!! At any rate, check the rules posted on the West Coast board"So Cal Rules for November" shich gives the complete Micro class rules for the Super Stock class. You can also stop by So Cal and ask for a set of rules for both classes, they are also posted on the window near the front door. See you out there!

Any time! If you can make it down, bring your stuff, ready to race. I'm sure that with Blind in attendance, you'll have no trouble getting everything you need and be ready to race in only a short amount of time!!!

Anyways, glad to have another micro racer in the scene, especially from SoCal!!

I am about 10 minutes away from you in Torrance, down the 110 North.

Try to make it to SoCal sometime!!

Looks like we'll have a pretty good showing on november first!

I'm trying to bring down a couple guys from the camarillo crew with me

From the looks of your car, all you'll need is a battery pack and a motor to get setup for the super stock class, racing is at 6pm so there's no excuse not to make it, even for me!

R/CMits.....
Wecome back!

Glad to hear your wife will give you support!
I too was a long time racer that had to take a break.
There are a few of us here that are in the same boat.

Bring that Micro down and shake off some rust!
You be back to your old self before you know it.

Glad you came back
