Hi, How would the wing that comes with the shell be mounted? would I/we have to use the MRS4 wing mounts?

Cheers

Awesome job, Homer!

There are not many things more fun than funding a hobbie by contributing to the hobbie itself. Congrats.

Very low styling indeed. Can they sit even lower without creating holes for chassis/suspension clearance?

Thanks, Ken.

All the bodies were designed to "sit" right on top of both the MRS4 and M18 w/o the body posts in place.
I had several criteria. in this order, when making these ones:

(1) to keep the CG low as possible.
(2) either no mods to the shell or very minimal. In the case of the LMR, which has a very "flat" design, it will sit flush onto the MRS4 front bumper post attachments and upper rear deck with or without body posts set to minimum height This depends of course, on ones electronics and layout.
For the M18, to get it at its absolute lowest setting, you'll need to open up a hole, at the front, where the top of the front shocks are. (see pic attached)
(3) wheels cutouts on the body need to be proportional and tight as possible (if required) to the top side of the quarter panel. (see pic attached)
(4) workable for both the 150 and 140mm wb micros.

yes. you would use the MRS4 wing wounts. for "D", you can either use the wing mounts or Ive designed the wing so that you can cut it and CA it (in either the lowered or raised position).
I'll post a pic of it later today, when I get it done.

I read about that problem...maybe it would be wise to contact RAD and ask them to modify/change their cast so it would accommodate the M18?? or has it been done already...

Hi thumpin347,

no cutlines for the weel wells. simply because:

(1) the M18 and MRS4 wb is slightly different,
(2) ride height due to various electronics under the lid,
(3) personal preference on ride height.

Its quite easy to mark and cut the wells once you have the body mount holes drilled.
