I need help

i have a micro rs4 brand new, an old novak esc(i mean really old 10+ yr. but works good still) a new futaba ms radio system, and new micro hpi battery 5 cell. my problem is i plug the battery up(and yes it is charged) and nothing happens it takes 5+ minutes to get any response from the servo, and no response ever from the wheels. and yes the radio is on and fresh batteries. I need ideas on what to check. the charger is a Novak Millenium

maybe your old esc won't work with the amount of batteries you are using.

it worked last night with a 13 yr old motor and a 15 yr old 4pack and 6 pack so it should work with a 5 pack

try testing everything with a 16 year old multimeter.

this week in new york it's been in the 90's

Mykroe 04-19-2002 10:17 PM

The only thing with high temps in NYC is that all the heat is reflected by the buildings an asphalt. Down here in Alabama its get ginuinely (<<---not spelled right I dont think) HOT.:) ;)

I don't live in the city. My town only has 7000 people in it. and it's been about 96 degrees at it's peak.

ok i got it running, went out and bought the Team Orion micro esc, but we figured out that the novak could have been used if we had of connected a few wires differently, but we decided to use it in one of our dragsters. we got two Orion ESC's and the new Cobra Micro so once we get a few radios(2 more, need 3) ill be racin against my lil bro... well more like tryin to keep away from the wrecks hell cause lol

Rupert 90 is nothin here in AR weve had 100 degree temps already, and enough rain to drown NY

TGRupert 04-20-2002 01:37 PM

ever get 3 or 4 feet of snow? 904 is a lot at this time of the year for us, also it is not a "dry heat" durring the summer it is constantly 90-100% humidity.

jw_j 04-20-2002 02:01 PM

snow, were lucky to get that here, but ice storms YUCK!! been there done that... 14 days without electricity and heat, and you can have our rain we dont want or need it

TGRupert 04-20-2002 02:34 PM

humidity isn't bad because of rain, it's bad cause it makes it feel 10-20 degrees hotter. you are deffinatly not on the winning side of the arguement. when was the last time you heard somone freom arazona retiring to new york for the weather?

MicroDude 04-21-2002 09:26 AM

Hey buddy, AR is Arkansas. Arizona is AZ. Ice storms dont happen in AZ. Only hail and monsoons. Ever been in a K-Mart when a monsoon came? it's funny as hell. everyone runs out with whatever's in their hands and strip down and run all over in the rain. Then 10 minutes later when the sky is clear, the naked people cant find their clothes.

TGRupert 04-21-2002 04:11 PM

I've only been to K-mart once, I guess I'm more of a wal-mart type of guy.
